Product Description

Phenosyn-S 360 is a prescription medication primarily used as an immunosuppressant to prevent organ rejection in patients who have undergone a kidney, liver, or heart transplant. It contains the active ingredient Mycophenolic acid (or mycophenolate sodium), which works by decreasing the production of specific white blood cells, preventing your immune system from attacking the new organ.

(Note: There are highly inaccurate descriptions circulating online that misidentify this 360 mg formulation as a nasal decongestant containing phenylephrine; this is factually incorrect and dangerous. Phenosyn-S 360 is strictly a critical transplant medication.)

📋 Key Usage Instructions

  • Empty Stomach: It must be taken on an empty stomach, either at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal.
  • Do Not Modify: Swallow the tablet whole with water. Do not crush, chew, or break it.
  • Consistency: Take it exactly at the times prescribed by your doctor (typically twice daily) to maintain a steady level in your body. [1]

šï Side Effects & Risks

Because it lowers your immune system's defences, it carries critical side effects that require monitoring:

  • Common Side Effects: Nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, stomach pain, headache, and high blood pressure.
  • Infection Risk: You will be much more susceptible to catching viral, bacterial, or fungal infections.
  • Sun Sensitivity: It increases your risk of skin cancer. You must strictly avoid prolonged sun exposure and apply protective sunscreen.
  • Pregnancy Warning: This medicine can cause severe birth defects and miscarriages. It is completely unsafe for women who are pregnant, planning to conceive, or breastfeeding
