Ertapenem For Injection is used to treat certain serious infections, including pneumonia and urinary tract, skin, diabetic foot, gynaecological, pelvic, and abdominal infections, that are caused by bacteria. It is also used for the prevention of infections following colorectal surgery. Ertapenem For Injection is used alone or in combination with other antibiotics to treat infections caused by bacteria in many different parts of the body. It works by killing bacteria or preventing their growth. This medicine will not work for colds, flu, or other virus infections.
